Welcome to the Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics
The Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics at Darshan Dental College and Hospital, Udaipur is one of the busiest departments of the college. The department aims at ‘increasing the lifespan of teeth’ by promoting oral health and provide education at par with international standards and pursue clinical excellence in patient management.
The department consists of two specialties Conservative dentistry & Endodontics. Conservative Dentistry deals with the treatment and rehabilitation of diseased, defective or destructed teeth, including Cosmetic / Aesthetic corrections of teeth. Endodontics deals with root canal treatment, endodontic surgery and other related treatments.
The department is well equipped with state of the art instruments and materials, where the students are trained on the finer aspects of different treatment modalities. The department is endowed with a dedicated and experienced faculty, all of whom are committed to excellence in education, patient care, scholarly activity, and research. Special emphasis is also laid on attending, participating and conducting continuing professional development programs to enhance and enrich professional knowledge. The faculty is highly committed to impart the highest quality of education to students and shape them to be confident and responsible professionals.
Apart from the under graduate course, department also has six seats per year for post graduation which are duly sanctioned by Dental Council of India Department is provided with all the latest equipments and materials, surgery room, sterilization section, store room, seminar room and clinics for both the U.G. & P.G. courses separately.
A supportive laboratory for casting work in metal and ceramic restorations is available in the department. Phantom head preclinics with tables, phantom heads, jaws micro-motors and airotors are available for Pre-clinical training.
Well organized and quality dental treatment procedures ensures a regular in flow of patients for clinical training, skills development and research requirements during the clinical phase for both the undergraduate and post graduate students.
